Oana Suteu Khintirian is a professional editor and an artist who’s work encompasses film, installation, media scenography and immersive environments.
As an editor she worked in North America, Europe and Australia, for the National Filmboard of Canada, CBC, ARTE, PBS, SBS and NHK, among others. The films she edited played internationally, in such festivals as IDFA,Toronto Film Festival, Annecy, Hot Docs or Sundance.

Her own artist work showed in festivals around the world and she participated in exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Arts, Montreal, Musée des Arts et Métiers, Paris, Circulo de Bellas Artes, Madrid, Kunstlerhaus Mousonturm, Frankfurt, Image Forum, Tokyo, among others.

Oana received prizes from ArtFIFA, Montreal, Moving Pictures, Toronto, Golden Prague and a Prix Italia for Creativity. She was nominated by the Canadian Academy of Cinema and Television for editing and directing. Oana is currently working on a highly personal film that deals with paper and memory in the digital era, a National Filmboard of Canada production, and she is an artist in residence at the Synthesis Center in AZ.

Sylvain Bellemare (born February 20, 1968) is a Canadian sound editor and sound designer, best known internationally as the supervising sound editor of Arrival (2016), for which he won the BAFTA Award for Best Sound (shared with Claude La Haye and Bernard Gariépy Strobl) and the Academy Award for Best Sound Editing. He is also known for Soft Shell Man (2001), It’s Not Me, I Swear! (2008), Incendies (2010), Monsieur Lazhar (2011), Gabrielle (2013) and Endorphine (2015). He frequently works with Quebec filmmakers Philippe Falardeau or Denis Villeneuve.

Fascinated by polarising and colourful subject matter, and angered by environmental and human rights issues, Briar March’s work is diverse, but grounded in a passionate desire to communicate.

There Once was an Island: Te Henua e Nnoho (2010), is an award-winning feature documentary on climate change which she shot co-edited and directed. Other films include Smoke Songs (2011) which was a finalist for the Student Academy Awards, and the IDA Awards, Michael & His Dragon (2010), A Place to Call Home (2014), Allie Eagle and Me (2004), and most recently she completed the short documentary musical The Coffin Club (2017), so far receiving more than 2 million views online from Upworthy, Short of the Week, Vimeo, and National Geographic. She has been a recipient of the SPADA New Filmmaker of the Year, Fulbright and AMP Scholarships, and shared the Qantas Best Editing Documentary/Factual Award.

Briar has an MFA in Documentary Filmmaking from Stanford University in California, and a BFA in Fine Arts from the University of Auckland.

Environmental philanthropist and ocean activist Shari Sant Plummer is President and Founder of Code Blue Charitable Foundation, Secretary/Trustee of the Summit Charitable Foundation, board member of the Sylvia Earle Alliance, and Vice President of Seacology. Shari is also a member of the Ocean Unite, Nature’s Best Photography, and Blue Ocean Film Festival Advisory Boards, and the World Wildlife Fund’s National Council. A proponent of impact photography and filmmaking, she served as board chair of the International League of Conservation Photographers for five years, and is currently an affiliate.

Shari is also a producer of documentary films including the Netflix documentary “Mission Blue” (Executive Producer), and “Chasing Coral” (Associate Producer). She is also Executive Producer on “Anote’s Ark”, “Sharkwater Extinction”, and “Ghost Fleet” currently in production for release in 2018.

A graduate of NYU, Shari worked as Senior Stylist and Design Director for Ralph Lauren in New York for nine years, then as Visual Director at Esprit. She later founded the environmental lifestyle store, Worldware, in San Francisco in 1994. She sold the business in 2001, and now devotes herself full-time to environmental work, with a focus on producing impact media to inspire change.

An avid diver, photographer and ocean activist, Shari travels extensively throughout the world promoting ocean conservation and environmental awareness. Shari lives between Malibu, California and upstate NewYork with her husband and co-founder of Code Blue Foundation Dan Plummer, and yellow lab Brody.

President of EarthSense Foundation and an ocean and environmental philanthropist, Shannon’s boards include Mission Blue, working with Dr. Sylvia Earle, WildAid, with Founder Peter Knights, the Funders’ Collaborative Oceans5, and Compassion for Addiction, which supports the work of Dr. Gabor Maté.

An advocate for the power of storytelling, filmmaking and photography, Shannon is Executive Producer of the documentary “Mission Blue”, available on Netflix; Executive Producer on “The Last Animals” and “Franca”; and Associate Producer of “Chasing Coral” which won the audience award at the Sundance Film Festival, where she supports the Climate Program. Films currently in production include “Sharkwater Extinction”, “Ghost Fleet”, and “Anote’s Ark”.

Shannon grew up in rural Michigan and studied at UC Boulder and the National Holistic Institute, Berkeley. After college she traveled with the Grateful Dead and was blessed to live for three years in the New York home of Robert Rauschenberg, where, immersed in the visual arts, dance and creative innovation, she was inspired by his belief in the power to create change through impactful media. She now devotes herself to environmental work with a focus on climate/ocean issues and education. An avid diver and photographer, Shannon lives in Marin County, California.

Daniel Cross is a founder of EyeSteelFilm in Montreal, listed by Real Screen Magazine as a top 100 non-fiction production companies in the world. Having produced more than 30 feature documentaries he is heading to Sundance 2018 to premiere their newest film Anote’s Ark. EyesteelFilm has won Emmys, the CSA-Canadian Academy Award, Genies, Jutras, the Golden Horse (China’s Oscar), the IDFA Joris Ivens prize and countless others.

Daniel is a professor at the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema, Concordia University where he holds the University Research Chair in Interactive Documentary. He serves on the University’s Board of Directors, is a member of the Provost’s Circle of Distinction and past chair of the Cinema School.

He is a multi-disciplined award winning documentary filmmaker with a long history of directing and producing theatrical documentaries while exploring new media documentary approaches. He made his mark directing feature length films concerning issues of homelessness, THE STREET: a film with the homeless, S.P.I.T: Squeegee Punks In Traffic and the interactive documentary www.HomelessNation.Org a groundbreaking site winning several prestigious awards including the United Nations World Summit Award for e-inclusion.

Cross’ latest feature documentary I Am The Blues received two Canadian Screen Awards in 2017 for Best Feature Documentary and Best Cinematography; the film also won two Golden Sheaf Awards for Best Director and Best Film as well as the Soul of the South award in Memphis. Daniel is most proud of his mentorship service having been recognized with the 2017 Don Haig award, the Trailblazer award at Cannes-MIPDOC, and the inaugural Mentor of the Year from the Canadian Media Producers Association. He participates in the IDFA Academy and serves(ed) on the boards of Hot Docs, Documentary Organization of Canada, Concordia University Documentary Centre, Observatoire du Documentaire and the Canadian Media Producers Association.
